The Prince of Wales to visit Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates

At the request of Her Majesty's Government, The Prince of Wales will undertake official visits to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates from Saturday 7th February to Thursday 12th February 2015.



The Prince of Wales's return to the region, only one year after his last tour, demonstrates the importance Her Majesty's Government places on its association with key partners in the area.  These connections are underpinned by the long-standing and respectful relationships which exist between the Royal Family and the ruling families in the Gulf. 



The tour starts in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan where The Prince, as a guest of King Abdullah II of Jordan, will meet His Majesty and other members of the Jordanian Royal Family. In Kuwait, The Prince of Wales will meet the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. In Saudi Arabia, The Prince of Wales will meet senior members of the Royal Family. In Doha, The Prince of Wales will meet The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.  In the United Arab Emirates, His Royal Highness will meet the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahayyan.

The Prince of Wales will visit Jordan from Saturday 7th February until Sunday 8th February 2015. His Royal Highness has previously made three official visits to Jordan, in 1993, 2004 and 2013.



The Prince of Wales will visit Kuwait on Monday 9th February 2015. His Royal Highness has previously made six official visits to Kuwait in 1989, 1993, 1997, 2006, 2007 and 2011.



The Prince of Wales will visit Saudi Arabia from Tuesday 10th February until Wednesday 11th February 2015. His Royal Highness has previously made 11 official visits to Saudi Arabia in 1986, 1990, 1993, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2006, 2013, 2014. On 23rd January 2015, The Prince of Wales travelled to Saudi Arabia to pay his condolences following the death of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HM King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Prince was representing Her Majesty The Queen.

   

The Prince of Wales will visit Qatar and the United Arab Emirates on Thursday 12th February 2015. His Royal Highness has previously made five official visits to Qatar in 1986, 1997, 2007, 2013 and 2014.  His Royal Highness has previously made six official visits to United Arab Emirates in 1989, 1993, 1996, 1999, 2007 and 2014.
